Pentagon selects four directed-energy systems for counter-drone pilot

The US Department of War has selected four high-energy laser and high-powered microwave systems for a counter-uncrewed aircraft pilot. These directed-energy weapons are intended to assess operational use in homeland defence. This initiative marks the first time such systems will be fielded and tested at US bases. The program focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of these specific technologies in protecting domestic installations against drone threats through a structured pilot program managed by the Pentagon.
