Year-round daylight saving time could hurt North Dakota kids

Permanent daylight saving time could negatively impact children in North Dakota, as more sunrises would occur after 8 a.m., with the latest reaching 9:45 a.m. Currently, DST operates from the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November. At that point, clocks are moved back one hour to return to Standard Time. Doing away with this seasonal time change would fundamentally alter daily light patterns for residents in northern regions.
