Perplexity’s Computer can now run entirely on your Mac, even offline

Perplexity is introducing a local-first mode for its Mac app, allowing the Computer feature to operate entirely on the device. This update enables users to execute AI workflows and run specific tasks without requiring an internet connection. To utilize these local capabilities, a Mac must be equipped with at least 36GB of RAM. This development simplifies the process of running Perplexity AI workflows locally, ensuring functionality remains available even when the system is offline.
