Hit-and-run driver strikes 64-year-old Grand Island woman

A 64-year-old Grand Island woman was hospitalized and subsequently released after being struck by a hit-and-run driver. Separately, a family in Lynwood is pleading for a driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run to come forward. Meanwhile, the 2026 Grand Island Games concluded their third day of competitions on Saturday, August 1, 2026. Hosted by Grand Island Parks and Recreation, the annual event saw hundreds of attendees and various teams of friends and coworkers participating.
