Pixar Names Jonathan Garson as President; Jim Morris Moves to Emeritus Role

Pixar Animation Studios is implementing a leadership transition effective January 4, 2027. Jonathan Garson, a Disney veteran, will become the new president, partnering with Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter. Jim Morris, who served as president for 12 of his 21 years at the studio, will transition to a president emeritus role. Additionally, Jonas Rivera has been elevated to creative executive vp. Pete Docter continues to lead the studio as chief creative officer during these organizational changes.
