Trooper injured, Mentor man killed in wrong-way crash in Lake County

Two separate fatal vehicle accidents occurred recently. In Lake County, a 61-year-old Mentor man died in a fiery wrong-way collision involving a marked Ohio State Highway Patrol cruiser on Ohio 2 near Painesville Township, which also injured a trooper. Additionally, New York State Police reported that one person was killed following a two-car crash in Broadalbin, Fulton County, on Saturday. Both incidents resulted in fatalities and are currently under investigation by the respective state police agencies.
