Crashed motorcyclist dies after being trapped under car: Vallejo police

The Vallejo Police Department is investigating the city's eighth fatal traffic collision of the year. A motorcyclist died after allegedly fleeing officers during a pursuit Tuesday morning near Sonoma Boulevard. Separately, the Oakland Police Department is investigating a fatal crash where a 45-year-old man died after being struck and pinned beneath a dump truck Tuesday evening near High Street and Coliseum. Alcohol and speed are not considered factors in the Oakland incident.
