Police shoot, injure two teens tossing fireworks at cars in St. Louis County

A St. Louis County police officer shot and injured two teenagers Sunday night in the Spanish Lake area near Bellefontaine and Larimore roads. The incident occurred after groups were observed tossing fireworks at cars. According to a police spokeswoman, the officer fired the shots because he felt threatened by the individuals. Evidence of fireworks was found near a McDonald’s parking lot following the shooting incident on July 6, 2026, in North County.
