Nick Reiner Won’t Face Death Penalty If Convicted at Trial, L.A. District Attorney Says

The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office announced that Nick Reiner will not face the death penalty if convicted of killing his parents. Reiner is accused of fatally stabbing Rob and Michele Singer Reiner in December 2025. DA Nathan Hochman stated that prosecutors decided against pursuing the death penalty after considering mitigating factors and the wishes of Reiner family members. The decision was disclosed to reporters outside a Los Angeles courthouse prior to a scheduled pre-trial hearing.
