Simultaneously, a report via VICE indicates a significant shift toward digital consumption. The top-selling PS5 game of 2026 recorded only 12% physical disc sales. Other major titles, including Resident Evil Requiem, 007 First Light, and Crimson Desert, also saw overwhelmingly digital sales figures on the PlayStation 5 platform.
