In traditional servers, supervisord manages long-running processes for background jobs. However, in ephemeral environments where Lambda functions exist for only milliseconds, this approach fails. To solve this, the Laravel application replaces the daemon with SQS and a Lambda worker. This transition ensures background jobs are processed effectively despite the 15-minute lifespan limit of Lambda. The implementation process is divided into three acts, beginning with a short setup followed by the worker lifecycle analysis.
