"Vanishingly rare" copy of Declaration of Independence found in U.K.

A volunteer at the National Archives in London discovered a vanishingly rare copy of the Declaration of Independence among papers seized from an American ship in 1776. Separately, reports from The Atlantic indicate that President Donald Trump previously inquired about displaying the original document in the Oval Office. While aides warned against the expense and implausibility of moving the original from the National Archives Building in Washington, D.C., Trump ultimately chose to display a copy instead.
