Rare Working Apple-1 Could Fetch $800,000 at Auction

A rare, operational Apple-1 computer, known as the Hatfield machine, is expected to fetch between 500,000 and 800,000 at an October auction. As number 48 on the registry, it is one of fewer than 75 existing units. The item is signed by Steve Wozniak and includes a 1978 letter from Steve Jobs. Jobs previously offered a trade-in for an Apple II, but Fred Hatfield declined the offer due to a 400 payment requirement.
