Reddit is killing RSS feeds and ending public API access because of AI bots

Reddit is ending support for RSS feeds on 13 November, further tightening access to its user-generated content. The company attributes this decision to AI scraping, stating that RSS is now frequently utilized for automated abuse and large-scale scraping. This move effectively kills public API access for these feeds. Reddit advised moderators who previously relied on RSS for alerts to transition to alternative methods as the platform seeks to protect its data from AI bots.
