National Park Service to drain Reflecting Pool after July Fourth

The National Park Service will begin draining the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool immediately after July Fourth to assess and repair lining damage. This action follows a crisis where green algae fouled the pool's blue color, despite recent renovations requested by President Donald Trump. Due to the algae situation, the security apparatus, including National Guard surveillance, has been monitoring the site.
