Roman Space Telescope Plaque Install

Technicians at the Payload Hazardous Servicing Facility within NASA’s Kennedy Space Center completed the installation of a commemorative plaque on the Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope on July 28, 2026. This plaque honors Dr. Nancy Grace Roman, who served as NASA’s first chief astronomer and helped architect the agency’s modern science program. Additionally, the installation includes a memory card containing 1,350,144 entries, preserving a significant legacy for the upcoming space mission's scientific journey.
