Romania orders 12 Airbus H225M multirole helicopters

Romania signed a contract for 12 Airbus H225M Caracal multirole helicopters to replace the Romanian Air Force's aging IAR-330 Puma fleet. The deal, estimated at €757 million, follows Bucharest's approval in July. Concluded through France's DGA, the procurement is financed under the European Union's Security Action. Airbus Helicopters announced the agreement on October 7, marking the initial phase of replacing locally built helicopters with modern assets to enhance the nation's military aviation capabilities.
