Germany to send Ukraine thousands more IRIS-T missiles

German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius announced that Germany will provide Ukraine with several thousand additional IRIS-T guided missiles. This delivery is funded via a 90 billion euro loan package from the European Union. Additionally, Germany is sending more Patriot missiles to Ukraine. These military shipments come as Germany warns of intensified Russian attacks during the winter season. The announcement was made prior to a video conference of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group in the Ramstein-format.
