Ryan Coogler’s Proximity Media Signs Netflix Deal to Develop TV Shows

Proximity Media, founded by Ryan Coogler, Zinzi Coogler, and Sev Ohanian, has signed a multi-year overall deal with Netflix to exclusively develop TV series. This strategic move follows the expiration of Coogler's five-year television agreement with Disney. Proximity Media's television division previously produced projects including Marvel's Ironheart and the National Geographic docuseries Hurricane Katrina: A Race Against Time. The new partnership represents a significant talent acquisition for the streamer as it expands its original content.
