Researchers conducted shark tagging operations along the US coast. On June 19, 2024, a mako shark was temporarily caught by researchers off the coast of Long Island, N.Y. Additionally, on May 5, 2025, researcher Aaron Carlisle worked to place a tag on a white shark off the coast of Delaware. These activities were part of scientific efforts to monitor these species in their natural habitats across different coastal regions of the United States.
