Silent Hill: Townfall is an analog horror spin-off developed by Glasgow-based Screen Burn. Director Jon McKellan stated the studio received significant creative freedom from Konami for this high-profile project. Departing from series norms, the game features a Scottish setting and a first-person perspective, a decision maintained since day one due to the team's previous experience. The title was first announced during Konami's 2022 livestream alongside Silent Hill f and the Silent Hill 2 remake.
