Simi Valley landfill gets rotting food from warehouse fire, raising foul odor complaints from neighbors

Simi Valley residents are reporting foul odors after their local landfill began receiving waste from a Lineage Logistics warehouse fire. The blaze occurred in June at a 500,000-square-foot East L.A. facility, destroying 80 million pounds of food. Lineage stated that the resulting waste is being distributed across nine different locations, including the Simi Valley site. Neighbors have expressed significant unhappiness regarding the smell caused by the rotting food arriving at the landfill.
