SIUE Solar Racing Team prepares for American Solar Challenge

On July 11, 2026, the SIUE Solar Racing Team prepared for the American Solar Challenge at the Fowler Student Design Center in Edwardsville, Ill. Team members Max Laing and Aaron Robertson focused on electronic components and the chassis. Linda Paslay, Owen Benson, and Patrick Rawson worked on the carbon fiber shell mold. Meanwhile, Nathan Siegel applied waterproofing to the trailer and Henry Jones managed solar panels, ensuring all technical aspects were ready for the upcoming race.
