SK Hynix CEO Says Memory Shortage Will Last Through 2030

SK Hynix CEO Kwak Noh-Jung predicts that the current memory shortage will persist through 2030. Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Indiana packaging facility, Kwak noted that AI-driven demand for customized products has shifted memory away from being purely commodity parts. This extends previous forecasts of tight DRAM supply through 2028. Any future market slowdown is expected to be a gradual easing rather than the sharp price crashes historically seen in memory markets.
