‘SNL UK’ Cold Open Mocks Ed Sheeran for ‘Sitting on the Fence’ Amid Tour Controversy

SNL UK mocked Ed Sheeran in a royal-themed cold open for sitting on the fence regarding his Loop Tour controversy. The sketch featured Princess Diana as an AI assistant. Simultaneously, Jethro Sheeran, the singer's cousin, publicly condemned him on Instagram, calling him a coward. This backlash follows the decision to remove Macklemore from the tour due to Macklemore's support for the Palestinian people, leading Jethro to express shame over his relative's actions during the ongoing dispute.
