Base PS5 gets AI upscaling with new QSSR technology from Sony and AMD

Sony is introducing Quick Spectral Super Resolution (QSSR), a new AI upscaling technology designed specifically for the regular PS5. Developed through Project Amethyst in collaboration with AMD, QSSR establishes a new performance tier of AI upscaling for the base console. Sony announced that this technology will debut with two exclusive titles. This initiative brings advanced AI graphics capabilities to the standard hardware, expanding the reach of Sony's spectral super resolution efforts beyond the high-end models.
