SpaceX Launches Starship Into Orbit

SpaceX successfully launched Starship into orbit during Flight 14, deploying 26 operational Starlink V3 satellites. Despite an early Raptor 3 engine shutdown after stage separation, the spacecraft completed insertion using five engines. SpaceX intends to eventually deploy 100,000 upgraded Starlink V3s to expand wireless satellite internet services. However, after evaluating the upper stage Ship's status at its first orbital checkpoint, technicians decided Ship 41 would perform its deorbit burn earlier than originally planned.
