SpaceX announces plan to become a ‘major mobile carrier’

SpaceX intends to become a major US mobile carrier by acquiring a nationwide portfolio of low-band spectrum licenses. This strategic move aims to position the company as a competitor to established wireless providers like Verizon and AT&T. Upon receiving final approval from the Federal Communications Commission, SpaceX will deploy a new architecture. This system will integrate its satellite-to-mobile constellation with the acquired spectrum to enhance the capabilities and reach of its Starlink Mobile service.
