Spotify Creates New ‘AI Personas’ Label To Flag AI-Generated Artists

Spotify is introducing an AI Persona badge to identify artists that are AI-generated or self-identified as non-human. Launching in mid-September, this label aims to maintain trust and authenticity between artists and fans. Profiles marked with this badge will be excluded from Spotify's editorial and algorithmic personalized recommendations. The streaming service is also asking creators to flag AI-generated songs, ensuring these tracks are removed from the platform's recommendation systems to combat the rise of AI slop artists.
