St. Louis Zoo's American red wolf pups released to a wild wolf family in North Carolina

American red wolf pups born this spring at the St. Louis Zoo's Sears Lehmann Jr. Wildlife Reserve in Franklin County have been relocated. Staff from the St. Louis Zoo and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service coordinated the effort to release the pups into a wild wolf family in North Carolina. The pups were successfully placed in their new wild den as part of a broader initiative to support the species in its natural habitat.
