Stalker 2's engine upgrade and first story expansion are due out in August

GSC Game World announced that STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl will receive the Cost of Hope expansion and Update 2.0 on 20th August 2026. Available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, this DLC introduces dozens of hours of content, new weapons, and locations. The story follows protagonist Skif investigating a mysterious PDA signal as the Duty and Freedom factions clash. This major overhaul includes an engine upgrade to improve the hardcore FPS experience across all platforms.
