Star Trails

A long-duration image captured by NASA and Anil Menon shows star trails above Earth. The photograph displays blue lights from fishing boats and yellow lights from Indonesian cities below the International Space Station. This visual was recorded as the station orbited 258 miles above the Banda Sea on September 20, 2026. The image highlights the contrast between celestial movements and human activity on the surface of the planet from a high orbital perspective.
