Dbrand’s Steam Machine Companion Cube is canceled

Dbrand announced Monday that it is refunding all customers who preordered the Steam Machine Companion Cube. The Portal-themed accessory was launched in November, but disappeared from the company website shortly after preorders began last Monday. Dbrand confirmed the product was developed without a license from Valve. Consequently, the ambitious Steam Machine case was canceled because the company failed to obtain the necessary permission to produce the licensed themed hardware for the platform.
