Submarine sinks American cruiser in Pacific Exercise

During RIMPAC 2026 in the Pacific, the US Navy sank the decommissioned guided-missile cruiser USS Mobile Bay in a live-fire exercise. Simultaneously, Lockheed Martin demonstrated an artificial intelligence system for anti-submarine warfare aboard US Navy MH-60R helicopters off Hawaii. This AI software was capable of retraining itself based on newly encountered underwater sounds to improve submarine hunting capabilities.
