Super Micro expects first-quarter revenue above estimates

Supermicro expects first-quarter revenue to reach between $18.5bn and $19.5bn for the three months ending in September. These preliminary figures, published in a business update after Tuesday's US market close, significantly exceed the previous guidance of $14.5bn to $15.5bn. The AI server maker attributes this $4bn increase to heightened demand for AI platforms. Consequently, the company anticipates that its quarterly revenue will surpass initial estimates due to the growth in AI platform requirements.
