Police investigate deadly stabbing in DTLA; suspect in custody

LAPD is investigating a deadly stabbing that took place Thursday afternoon in Downtown Los Angeles near 6th Street and Maple Avenue. The area remains closed to traffic as the crime scene is processed. While the victim was initially transported to a hospital in unknown condition, officials later confirmed the death. A suspect is currently in custody and has claimed self-defense. Separately, authorities have also taken a suspect into custody following a shooting incident in Fulton County.
