Jared Moskowitz prevails in redrawn South Florida district

Democrat Jared Moskowitz won reelection for Florida District 25, defeating former Boca Raton Mayor Scott Singer. This victory occurred despite Republican efforts to redraw the South Florida district to protect their slim majority. Moskowitz led with 51.5% when the Associated Press called the race at 8:07 p.m. The result represents a loss for Republicans, as Moskowitz defied the redistricting strategy intended to flip the U.S. House of Representatives seat to the GOP party.
