Taylor Sheridan Accused of Stealing ‘Yellowstone’ Idea From 2016 Series Pitch

Writer Lauren J. Salkin has filed a copyright lawsuit against Taylor Sheridan, alleging he stole the concept for the series Yellowstone from her 2016 pitch titled Sovereign Nation. Salkin claims Yellowstone captures the total feel and concept of her original work. The lawsuit also names 101 Studios, Paramount, and Elevate Entertainment as defendants. Representatives for Sheridan and the listed companies have not yet responded to requests for comment regarding these specific allegations of intellectual property theft.
