Tech companies are exploring Argentine Patagonia as a potential location for AI data centres. Developers and energy firms are actively courting hyperscalers to establish infrastructure projects across Patagonia and nearby provinces. This region, traditionally known for exporting wind, gas, and sheep, is now being pitched for its suitability for AI infrastructure. According to Reuters, initial agreements for these data centre projects are targeted to be reached by the end of this current year.
