Texas Hill Country still reeling a year after deadly flood

One year after the events of July 3, 2025, the Texas Hill Country continues to recover from catastrophic flooding. Severe weather warnings preceded the disaster, which resulted in more than 130 fatalities. Among the casualties, 28 people died at Camp Mystic. The region remains deeply affected by the scale of the loss and the intensity of the floods that struck the area during this period of extreme weather and deadly environmental conditions.
