The MOU Is Paying Off Early for Iran

Washington and Tehran are currently grappling over a Memorandum of Understanding that is yielding early results. This MOU specifically excludes ballistic missiles from the agreement, which serve as the backbone of Iran's deterrent doctrine. By omitting these weapons, the US has effectively validated Iran's strategic approach. Consequently, this validation of the Iranian doctrine potentially increases the overall regional threat, as the most usable weapons in Iran's arsenal remain outside the scope of the current agreement.
