JaMarcus Shephard's first win as Oregon State coach was a statement

JaMarcus Shephard achieved his first victory as Oregon State coach with a 52-17 win over Montana. Braden Atkinson led the offense, throwing for 333 yards and five touchdowns to snap a five-game losing streak. While Shephard described this season as foundational, the dominant performance against an FCS national championship contender suggests OSU progress is ahead of schedule. Shephard viewed the result as the first step of many following the team's impressive statement victory against Montana.
