Wihanga Nada and Bird Caller are offline identifiers created for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge. Wihanga Nada focuses on Sri Lankan birds, providing audio names and CSV trip logs without signal. Bird Caller is a web application using open-weight models in-browser to identify bird songs, wildlife, and weather elements in real-time. Both tools prioritize nature immersion by removing internet dependencies, allowing users to track encounters in remote locations like Sinharaja or deep woods via local logs.
