OutsideIn: Turning AI-Powered Curiosity into Real-World Adventures

GreenQuest and OutsideIn are local-first, offline-capable outdoor companions developed for the Hacktoberfest Open-Source AI Challenge Week 1: Touch Grass. These tools utilize open-weight AI to encourage users to spend less time on screens by transforming short periods of free time into personalized nature micro-adventures. By analyzing preferences like environment, energy, and mindset, the AI suggests structured quests and observations in gardens, parks, or neighborhoods, turning curiosity into real-world exploration and practical outdoor activities.
