Tropical Storm Moke strengthens slightly; will bring heavy rain to Big Island

Tropical Storm Moke has strengthened slightly and is advancing toward Hawaii. The storm is projected to pass within a few hundred miles south of the Big Island late Saturday and early Sunday, with further movement south of the state on Sunday and Monday. Similar to Hurricane Lala, the Big Island is expected to experience the most significant impact, bearing the brunt of the heavy rain and strong winds as the system passes by.
