Trump administration begins building border wall in Texas’ Big Bend region

The Trump administration has commenced construction of a 30ft steel bollard border wall in the Big Bend region of west Texas. Work began in Hudspeth county, east of El Paso, despite significant bipartisan backlash from local leaders and landowners. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is currently urging landowners to grant access for the project, offering signing bonuses as incentives to prevent eminent domain disputes while pushing forward with the controversial plans through the national park area.
