Supreme Court trans sports ruling sparks red state crackdown and blue state resistance

Following a Supreme Court ruling upholding the constitutional guarantee of birthright citizenship, acting attorney general Todd Blanche announced a federal crackdown on birth tourism. Federal prosecutors and law enforcement will target tourists, temporary visitors, and undocumented immigrants traveling to the US to give birth. Although such births account for less than 1% of yearly US births, the government intends to use DHS and visa application processes to limit opportunities for individuals entering the country for this purpose.
