Trump names intelligence chief Jay Clayton as new White House AI czar

President Donald Trump has appointed Jay Clayton, the director of national intelligence, as the new White House AI czar. Clayton, who manages 18 intelligence agencies and previously led the Securities and Exchange Commission, will also lead the Super Intelligence Force. Reporting directly to the president and Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Clayton previously described AI as a gamechanger that simultaneously poses a threat during his DNI Senate confirmation hearing. He formerly served as Manhattan's top federal prosecutor.
