U.S. official: Trump cut deal with Putin after Zelensky ignored his requests

President Volodymyr Zelensky has directly criticized Donald Trump following a deal with Vladimir Putin to supply millions of tons of Russian diesel fuel globally. A U.S. official claimed Trump acted after Zelensky ignored multiple requests to cease attacks on Russian oil refineries. Zelensky stated he was blindsided by the announcement. This conflict has created a new crisis between the U.S. and Ukraine, potentially derailing the Trump administration's current efforts to negotiate an end to the war.
