DOJ Refuses to Officially Say Trump’s $1.8 Billion Slush Fund Is Dead

The Department of Justice refused to provide a written declaration confirming that the Trump administration's $1.776 billion Anti-Weaponization Fund is dead. U.S. District Judge Leonie Brinkema had ordered Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Associate Attorney General Stanley Woodward, Jr., and Secretary of the Treasury Scott Bessent to certify under penalty of perjury that the fund would not proceed. Despite a June 19 deadline, the DOJ rebuffed the request to certify the fund's termination.
